When Jewel Savadelis told me her new DIY wedding video company, Movie-Me.com, was participating in Freedom to Marry a Fête & Fundraiser being hosted by Amy Kuschel in downtown San Francisco, I wanted to be involved. Since I hadn't been approached to participate in the event, but because at my very core I believe in embracing both diversity and human rights, I volunteered to create pairs of flirty brides and grooms for the special postcard Movie-Me will be giving away that evening that includes a 20% discount on their March 22nd, DIY wedding video seminar to guests attending the event.
For brides, Amy Kuschel's new 2009 collection will be debuting that evening.
But it's much more than that. If you're a little bothered or completely dismayed that the right to marry is not inclusive of all Californians? Here's how you can help to make a difference: Come out for an evening of beautiful bridal gowns, cocktails, small bites, and the opportunity to mingle with many of the Bay Areas top wedding professionals. This is a very special event that Amy is hosting for Equality California to help raise awareness and funds to make the right to marry inclusive for all LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered) Californians.

Suggested donation for admission is a minimum of $25 to EQCA. Donations may be made prior to the event (receipt for admission) or at the door (check or credit card). With a $50 donation guests will receive a tote bag filled with gifts from the event sponsors and a ticket for the raffle. Raffle items are valued from $50-$500 and prizes will be given away throughout the evening.
Their fundraising goal is $10,000 with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Equality California.org
