The Glampette featured on Tiny Yellow Teardrop

When I attended the recent Treasure Island Teardrop Trailer Meet & Greet I had the opportunity to meet Christina Nellemann, who dropped by to say hello and to take a few pictures of The Glampette for a post on her blog Tiny Yellow Teardrop!

Here it is: Featured Teardrop: Stacie's Glampette. In it Christina shares her observations about meeting The Glampette in person and interviewed me about what it's been like traveling back and forth across the country on my own this year. It was a fun opportunity to share some travel stories and advice, particularly for other women considering traveling on their own.

Questions she asked included:

  • Why did you decide to get a camping trailer?
  • What led you to teardrop trailers?
  • Tell us about the building and buying process.
  • What features did you want in the trailer?
  • Where do you like to go camping?
  • What advice do you have for women teardrop owners?
  • What do you like most and least about teardrop camping?
  • What are your favorite camping accessories?
  • What has been the reaction from other teardrop owners and non-owners?

This is Christina's trailer the Sunflower. It was made by Pleasant Valley Teardrops company in Sugarcreek, Ohio and she tows it with a 2008 Kia Sportage.

I knew Christina from her blog and this tiny trailer tour video I'd watched (several times) during the research phase of designing my trailer and getting up the gumption to travel with it alone. Don't miss her Dutch oven pizza at 5:44. It looks absolutely delicious!

Thank you Christina for sharing The Glampette with your readers. I hope we have the opportunity to camp together at a rally someday.
