For Sale: San Francisco's Iconic Fairmont Hotel

I'd been reading stories in the news that the Fairmont Hotel atop Nob Hill could soon be offered for sale. I was a bit sad to see today on SFgate.com that the hotel will indeed be changing hands in the foreseeable future.

So if you've been wanting to purchase a landmark hotel this could be your opportunity. I have no idea what a hotel like the Fairmont costs but the article says: "Hodges Ward Elliott Inc., an Atlanta broker, will market the Fairmont; there is no set asking price." Needless to say you would need piles and piles of money to afford a hotel like this, and I don't think any millionaires or billionaires read my blog but just in case they do. . .

Features include:
  • 591 guestrooms and suites including the luxurious Penthouse Suite
  • Three renowned restaurants and lounges: Cafe Cento, Tonga Room and Hurricane Bar, Laurel Court & Bar
  • 55,000 square feet of spectacular function space
  • Panoramic view of the City and the Bay (see photo below)
  • Roof Garden
  • Apiary and herb garden
