Recently I attended a holiday luncheon and was chatting with Frank Beau Davis Director of Brassworks Music based in Belmont, California. I was enamoured with the photos he showed me of his musical toy soldiers that have been livening up holiday festivities around the San Francisco Bay Area.
So cute right? Just like out of a story book. He said they always have fun, generate excitement, and attract a crowd whenever they play. And of course the kids love them!
Their stage names are: Captain Rufus Rednose, Lieutenant Lance Longhorn, Sergeant Barnabus Blitzen and Major Rat-a-tat Drummond.
I asked Frank if the group would be performing at any public venues through the holidays for people, especially kids, to enjoy and he sent me this nifty little schedule of their four remaining appearances:
This Friday Dec 12, 5-7pm at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto
This Saturday, Dec 13, 4-6pm at Bay Fair Mall in San Leandro
Saturday Dec 20, 2-4pm at Stanford Shopping Center
Sunday, Dec 21, 12:30-2:30pm for Santa's Parade and the Temescal Skate & Stroll at Claremont & Telegraph in Oakland
I hope you are able to go out to see and hear them. What a fun holiday treat!
