The Bride, Groom and 60 of their closest friends and family all flew into San Francisco last week to celebrate their wedding at the Hotel Vitale Friday evening.
When I arrived at the hotel that afternoon to deliver the cake topper I had sponsored, upon entering the reception location I saw this beautiful centerpiece by floral designer Nancy Liu Chin. A luxurious mixture of Hydrangea, Spider Mums, Roses, Orchids, Football Mums and Peonies, I had to take a picture it was so stunning!
Though there were two other wedding locations for Vanessa and Mike in the hotel, one for the ceremony and the other for the cocktail hour, I spent most of my time in the room the reception was to be held in.
Shortly after I arrived, cake designer Gabrielle Feuersinger from Cake Coquette arrived with the cake. Here Gabby puts some finishing touches on after adding the topper to the cake.
You may recall that Gabby and I worked on another cake together in the past for a Vendor Chic video shoot. It was her tropical sunset cake paired with my beaded pineapple cake topper.
Gabby makes gorgeous cakes right? This cake was frosted in buttercream and the flowers cascading down the tiers were two types made of both buttercream and sugar.
The wedding colors were yellow and grey so I used silver and yellow to create the beaded dragonfly cake topper.
Here is the cake sitting in it's place of honor. Natti from North American Theatre Technology even added spotlights to enhance the cake and all of its details.
And here were Vanessa and Mike during their first dance. I hope the wedding was everything they had dreamt it would be and more...
