What is the ACPWC?
The Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants was established in 1990 by founder Ann Nola and has since become one of the most highly regarded wedding consulting training and education programs in the country. Through the ACPWC future wedding professional hopefuls are educated by working industry professionals in a comprehensive certification course that encompasses all aspects of becoming a Professional Wedding Consultant including how to create and execute budgets and timelines, determining your pricing structure, how to establish your new company and how to qualify, choose and develop relationships with the professionals you will recommend to your future clients.

There are three Levels of Achievement that all students must successfully complete before moving on to the next level. They include:

Level 1: Certificate of Completion
Level 2: Professional Title
Level 3: Certified Title

The wonderful thing about becoming an ACPWC member is that throughout each level, members benefit from their mentors and other members utilizing the unique support system the ACPWC has to offer.

I would definitely recommend becoming certified by the ACPWC to aspiring wedding consultants. Being educated and properly trained is a sound investment in the long run as most people who "fall into" wedding consulting as a career end up learning from their mistakes which usually costs them (and their clients) time, money and heartache.
