15 hours ago my friend Roger Contreras posted this photo on The Giving Back Group's Facebook page. Boy did it make me smile. Two of my favorite people I've never met in person, got to meet each other. Janet had arrived in Houston, TX to be considered for a clinical trial being conducted there. The last rounds of chemo had not eradicated the Leukemia she suffers from, no bone marrow match has been located, and she is running out of time. The last numbers I'd read were that she had 44% Leukemic cells after her bone marrow biopsy results earlier this month.
38 minutes ago Janet's Facebook Group "Helping Janet Find Her Perfect Match" just posted the following message:
"URGENT: This morning Janet’s cancer cells has advance up to 80% of her body. She is currently being under critical care. Please keep her in your prayers."
If you believe in the power of prayer, positive thoughts or good energy please send one or all three towards Houston. The fact that Janet is in the same city as one of the top treatment hospitals in the world for cancer patients who need bone marrow transplants is bringing me some comfort that she is near some of the best doctors in the world who can help her to pull through this.
Keep fighting Janet! Get into that trial. Sending prayers from San Jose.
