Baby Hummingbirds Day 9: We have beakage!

Imagine my surprise this morning when I went out to photograph Itty and Bitty and saw beakage! Yup, that's right. Their little beaks are changing color and beginning to grow. And they're getting so big there's no longer room for their faces in the nest.

Today I could clearly see their eyes have yet to open and I made the realization that except for their beaks, they really look more like baby hedgehogs than hummingbirds. LOL
