Gentry Magazine Presents: A Fall Fête

I was invited to the Gentry magazine Fall Fête (featuring a presentation by award-winning interior designer Gina Viscusi Elson) by Lea Mcintosh who many of you know as the voice of The Wedding Chat blog and Designer of Lea McIntosh Fine Events. But Lea and I have another skill set in common. We both also have companies, myself GIRLgoesGEEK.com and Lea at Cherry Bomb Design, that offer web design, development and graphic design services.

Lea had just finish designing a new logo and collateral for Viscusi Elson Interior Designs and invited me to come along to enjoy Gina's presentation last evening.

If you like salmon this was an absolutely delish appetizer. It would make a nice reception Hors D'Oeuvre or would fit into any rehearsal dinner or shower menu.

French-trained chef Pamela Keith of CuisineStyle™ gave a live demonstration showing us how to make the cucumber -smoked salmon cup above. It was a combination of smoked salmon, minced yellow onion, capers and chives mixed together, placed into a cucumber cup scooped out with a melon baller, sprinkled with sesame seeds and topped with a bit of tobiko caviar.

I didn't sample the wine (because I don't drink alcohol) but was told the salmon and this La Honda Winery Sauvignon Blanc were a perfect pairing!

Bebecakes Cupcakery served two delectable flavors of cupcakes for dessert. Their cream cheese frostings are to die for!

The Va Va Voom

And the super yummy Pumpkin cupcakes!

The event was hosted at Rutt of Los Altos.

Located in downtown Los Altos, Rutt's showrooms were the perfect backdrop for the evening. Rutt gave each guest the opportunity to see many different styles of kitchens as well as close up views of special features in the cabinetry. Gina's presentation and the showroom itself were both full of many practical ideas and stylish design details that can be incorporated into any kitchen remodel.
