I saw the Black Swan

A few days ago I photographed Cyngus Atratus at the San Francisco Zoo.

I was rushing to get to the Snow Leopard enclosure when I spotted this swan with its piercing red eyes, coal black feathers and shiny, bright red beak. How could I not stop for a couple of minutes to take a few pictures?

One thing's for sure, black swans are stunning! Immediately I could see why it was used as the inspiration for the ballerina movie.

When its wing feathers are raised and ruffled it even looks like its wearing a tutu.

They are graceful and elegant. At the zoo they live with some ducks, geese, capybara, and anteaters in the Puente el Sur exhibit.
